Looking for a place to picnic, get outside with your little ones, and enjoy the feeling of a lazy summer evening? The Concert under the Elms series is held Thursdays during summer on the grounds of the John Brown House Museum. This season kicks off with The American Band, a 180-year-old symphonic collective with more than 50 adult musicians to captivate your family with sounds, and demonstrate their skills on all types of instruments! Visiting food trucks this summer will include FUGO, Friskie Fries, Bit’Chin BBQ, and Baby’s Bonetown BBQ. Macaron Millie from Ellie’s Bakery will return to serve up dessert. Granny Squibb’s has supplied us with plenty of iced tea, for which we’ll ask a small donation. Please remember: Coolers are welcome, but, unfortunately, pets are not. Tickets may be purchased on site on the day of the concert. For more information: call 401-331-8575 x133 or email mlupham@rihs.org. Parking: Street parking with limited parking for visitors with disabilities on site. In case of inclement weather: Check www.rihs.org or call 401-331-8575 x133 after 1:30pm the day of the concert. Rain date August 10. RIHS Members & all children under 12: Free . Adults and children 12 & over: $10 (Not a Member? Consider becoming a member of RIHS.)
