Roger Williams Park Nature Watch

Do you love to explore and examine the natural world? Want to be a citizen scientist? Join the first annual Roger Williams Park Nature Watch, a fun ecological monitoring initiative aimed to gather information about Roger Williams Park and its inhabitants. Designed to develop scientific observation and data collection skills, Nature Watch is suitable for all levels and interests. Help contribute to the pursuit of knowledge and sign up today!

Here’s a list of all the activities that are part of the Nature Watch:

8:30-4:30 Self-guided walks
Self-guided walks are a great opportunity to learn what plants and animals live in Roger Williams Park.

9:30-4:30 Microworlds of Roger Williams Park
Museum docent Ronald Schwartz will be your guide as you explore the micro worlds of the park’s ponds and surrounding landscapes.

Guided walks! Participate in all or some!
9:00-10:00: Summer Birds in the Park OR Pond Peers: Exploring Ponds
11:00-12:00: Urban Plant Life OR Pond Peers: Exploring Ponds
1:00-2:00: Summer Birds in the Park
1:00-2:30: Urban Plant Life
2:30-3:30: Bugs and Butterflies
