Spring Fling Market
Join the fun at spring-themed Farmers Market! It’s a Spring Fling featuring baby goats galore, an Egg and Scavenger Hunt, kids “touch a bunny” table with the farm’s 4H Club and a heapin’ helpin’ of greens and fresh goodness from some of RI’s top growers. And let’s not forget a special appearance by the Easter Bunny himself- he’ll be hopping in to help out for the morning and happy to pose for some selfies along the way. Kids can register at the Egg Hunt Table beginning at 9:30 am. The Egg and Scavenger Hunt starts at 11:00 am with the Easter Bunny as Master of Ceremonies. There will be plenty of sweet filled eggs as well as some eggs containing clues…Solve the clue by finding the right Market vendor table and receive a special surprise!
Coastal Growers’ Market
Saturdays through October 29
Get a taste of some of the finest produce in Rhode Island, Saturdays at Casey Farm. Support local farmers and shop for specialty products including organic produce, pasture-fed meats, locally raised shellfish, baked goods, sweeteners, flowers, and more. Named “one of the five best farmers’ markets in New England” by Yankee Magazine. After you shop, take a tour of historic property, walk through the fields and visit the animals.

Watch a Blacksmith at Work
The ring of the anvil and smell of a coal fire bring the experience of a turn-of-the-century blacksmith shop to life. Visitors of all ages are welcome to stop in and watch the blacksmiths at work in this original 1870s shop. As part of your visit, enjoy a stroll through scenic Chase Farm Park where the Blacksmith Shop is located.
Picnic Movies
Pack your picnic basket and join us for short animated films based on popular picture books! We will provide juice boxes. Designed for ages 2 and up; younger siblings welcome.

Spring Seedling Sale and Farmers’ Market
Start your culinary garden this spring with Rhode Island Certified Organic vegetable, fruit, and herb seedlings featured at Casey Farm’s plant sale. Other items for sale include Vermont maple syrup, coffee, and fresh baked goods. Tour the museum and grounds and bring the kids for special children’s activities. Historic New England members receive a 10% discount on all seedlings.
Sheep Shearing
Celebrate spring at this annual family-friendly program. Watch the farm flock be shorn by local shearers and visit with the baby lambs. View the farm’s herd of Heritage Red Devon Cattle and enjoy a scenic hike around the farm located on Narragansett Bay. Rain or shine.

Visit Beavertail Lighthouse Museum
Weekends until June 18, Daily June-August, Weekends in September to Columbus Day
Learn about America’s 3rd oldest lighthouse (established in 1749) at a museum designed for all ages! Hear historical stories, see artifacts and learn about Rhode Island Lighthouses and local shipwrecks. Visit the adjacent RIDEM aquarium — free admission! Enjoy a seaside vista of rocks, waves and historical grounds unequaled in Southern New England. The museum is located at the south end of Beavertail State Park in Jamestown.
The Beavertail Lighthouse Tower is open to climb twice each month, June through September. Tower openings on Saturdays, June 18, July 2, July 30, August 27, Sept 10, Sept 24 & Sundays, July 17, August 14, October 9. Suggested donation of $5 per adult climber.
